In what cases would you find it useful to use the 'cc', 'bcc' and 'reply all functions of email? >'cc' will be useful for setting group meeting or just let some one knows about information you sending to someone. 'bcc' will be useful for announcement to large organization. 'reply all' is very useful to update some things like project or meeting to update all staff who related to this email. 3. In what ways can you ensure that an attachment you send will be easily opened by the receiver? >You might give instruction in the email how to open attachment just in case receiver might not have good IT knowledge. 4. What sorts of filters or rules do you have set up, and for what purpose? >To organize emails or find email you need, we need to be able to filter by date, sender's name, type of email, attachments and subject. These filters are very useful. 5. How have you organized the folder structure of your email and why? >My email folders are organized by name under a department name or by project name under a client name. So I can find by project related email under the project and other email will be under the staff name. Think about the following questions (it may help to discuss them with other students on the discussion board) What are the pros and cons of email lists versus discussion boards? Are there certain kinds of communication or purposes more suited to one than the other? Record your conclusions in your learning log : >Firstly I have to define what an email list is because I am not sure what it is.An email list is define as 'The email list is an email list of names having similar interests; they reply and discuss via email.'I am not really belonging to any email list so I cannot say from my experience about email list. I am not really willing to become some email list at least for now because email list will be exposing your email address to others and higher chance to get some spam. Not all people understand to use someone’s email address for some proper reason. But I think discussion board could be a very useful if you have anything that you need to get answer or also easy to give some answer or information and will not get any claim. Of cause I will not give such a unresponsive answer. This might be con of discussion board that Information or data might be not trusted source because discussion board are open to public and anyone can say something from their source. An email list might be more trusted source than discussion board as email list at least stays in some group.Discussion board might be good if you want to get people opinion for essay or journals, advises. If you have problem in your life and want to talk and get advice is perfect for discussion board as you will get advice or exchange impression might help your feeling. Again you might be getting negative impression as well so we should be able to control self and identify the comment anyway. An email list might be good if you need some specific information such as boat equipment (some student is saying about he got reply back within 4HRS in discussion.) or some specific music. Information you will get is more trusted that discussion board and quicker to get answer you want.

Module Two Task

I was having a problem with this blog sign in. I just was not sure what is my username but I finally found out that it was my email address.

However blog is really easier and better for this kind of assignment than using web site because I don't need to have any other software such as dream waver for updating.
I can update anywhere with internet connection. I like it.

Task
1. What information about a user's email, the origin of a message, and the path it took, can you glean from an email message?

We can glean below information.
1. original message from sender.
2. Sender's email address.
3. date and time when email was sent.
4. Subject
5. Sender's signeture might consist of address, telephone number and full name with s/he title and company name.

First step to Blogger

This blog was made for my study unit NET11 at curtin university.
I thought I might use web site for assignment but I should try some thing new so here I am.

Below learning log was written 6/12/2006. I found from forum about this blog page and seem to me easier for blog beginners like me.

'This is my second units and the last unit had to read some readers and instructions were written in the book. So I was bit uncertain to have everything on online.
But this is Information Technology unit so I should accept this way of learning.
I am getting to know how the unit works is and understanding of structure.
But I still have to find out assignment how to create my web site. I have experience with building web site but where I can store it?
There should be somewhere which I have not found it.
I will check forum to find out.
